Easy Fudge

Makes 6 pounds  •  From the kitchen of Summer T.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
6 cups sugar
2 cans evaporated milk (5 ounce cans)
2 packages (12 ounces each) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 jar (13 ounce) marshmallow cream
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions

  1. Lightly grease 2 or 3 pans.

  2. Mix margarine, sugar, and milk in heavy 4-5 quart sauce pan.

  3. Bring to full rolling boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.

  4. Continue boiling 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring to prevent scorching.

  5. Remove from heat.

  6. Gradually stir in chips until melted.

  7. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  8. Pour into prepared pans.

  9. Cool at room temperature and cut into squares.
