Lacy Swedish Almond Wafers

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
7 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup almonds, finely chopped, toasted, blanched

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place butter, sugar, flour, milk and salt in a saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Once butter has melted, cook and stir until smooth (approx. 30 seconds).

  4. Remove from heat and add toasted almonds.

  5. Drop by 1/2 teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.

  6. Bake for 6-8 minutes.

  7. Let cool about 2 minutes and use rolling pin to roll into wafers.
