Chocolate Crunch

saltine (soda) crackers
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 pound butter or margarine
1 1/2 to 2 cups chocolate chips


Line a cookie sheet with foil, shiny side down. Place crackers in a single layer on cookie sheet. Mix sugar and butter in a saucepan, bring to a slow boil. DO NOT SCORCH. Let cool. Melt chocolate chips; pour over crackers. Cool and break into pieces like peanut brittle.
