Grandma's Pecan Pie

From the kitchen of Mary Lu Stone

Ingredients

1 unbaked pie shell
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter (not oleo)
1 cup light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup broken pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In large mixer bowl, cream sugar and butter well; add salt and syrup; mix.

  3. Beat in 1 egg at a time and mix well. Add nuts.

  4. Pour into shell and bake for 1 hour.


Whole nuts can be added in a decorative pattern on top before baking.
