Nutty Yam Bake

Ingredients
4 cups squash, yams, or sweet potatoes, cooked
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease a 3 quart casserole dish.
Mash sweet potatoes while hot, add sugar, margarine, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and salt, mix well.
Beat in milk and eggs. Whip well with mixer.
Pour into casserole.
Topping:
Combine flour, sugar, and margarine until crumbly. Mix in walnuts and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over top of casserole mixture.
Dot with margarine or butter.
Bake for 35 minutes.
