Mock Lemon Meringue Cake

Ingredients

1 package Duncan Hines Deluxe Lemon Supreme cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
2 cups prepared lemon pie filling, cooled
1 container (8 ounce) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  1. Bake cake according to package directions, in a 10 inch tube pan. Let cool.

  2. Split cake into 3 layers.

  3. Stir pie filling until smooth, spread 1/3 of filling between each layer, and on top of cake.

  4. Frost top, sides, and center with whipped topping.

  5. Refrigerate.
