Bishop's Bread

From the kitchen of Great Grandma Gelhar

Ingredients

3 eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup nuts
1 bar sweet chocolate, broken
1 small jar cherries
1/2 cup dates

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease a loaf pan.

  3. Mix sugar and eggs, add flour, baking powder, broken chocolate, floured dates, and nuts. Mix well. Add cherries with juice, mix.

  4. Pour into a prepared pan.

  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until done.
