Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Cakes - Recipe for Strawberry Delight

Strawberry Delight

Ingredients

1 package strawberry supreme cake
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 1/4 cups water, divided
2 packages strawberry Jell-O
2 cup confectioner's sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan.

  3. Mix together: cake mix, eggs, oil, 3/4 cup water and 1 package of Jell-O, beat until well blended.

  4. Pour into prepared pan.

  5. Bake for one hour.

  6. While cake is baking, prepare icing by mixing together 1/2 cup water with 1 package of Jell-O and sugar, blend until smooth.

  7. While cake is still hot, poke holes in top of cake with a skewer and pour icing over it.

  8. Allow to cool completely in pan.
