Bread Pudding

Makes 8 to 10 serving

From the kitchen of Patricia Stephens



4 eggs
1 3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 stick butter, softened
4 cups eggnog (quart of store bought)
10 to 12 day old buttermilk biscuits
3/4 cup raisins (optional)


Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl beat the eggs until frothy. Add the sugar,nutmeg,vanilla, and cinnamon.Mix well. Add butter and eggnog. Beat well. Crumble the biscuts fine and add to mixture. Add raisins.Mix well. Pour into an ungreased 13x9x2 pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until lightly brown.
