Dixie Chicken

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 egg
4 boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch cubes
flour for coating
oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine sugar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and egg. Blend thoroughly.

  2. Add the chicken and marinate for an hour.

  3. Coat each piece lightly in flour.

  4. In a large skillet, heat enough oil to fry the chicken.

  5. Fry until golden brown and chicken is cooked through.
