Bing cherries - fresh or canned
vanilla ice cream


  1. Wash fresh cherries or drain canned cherries.

  2. Heat cherries in a pan on low heat.

  3. Pour a little brandy in serving dish and heat.

  4. Add cherries to the serving dish and add a little more brandy.

  5. Pour some brandy in a large serving spoon and heat the spoon.

  6. Light the brandy in the spoon and pour over the cherries.

  7. This will create the flame.

  8. Stir the cherries.

  9. Serve over vanilla ice cream in individual serving dishes.
