Buttermilk Pie

Makes 1 9-inch pie •  From the kitchen of Null

Ingredients

1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry pie shell
1 and 1/4 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup butter or margarine

Directions

Mix sugar and flour. Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, vanilla. Melt the butter over low heat. Add to buttermilk mixture and mix well. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35-40 minutes. Delicate custard pie--one you will love!
