Grandma's Famous Cheesecake
Makes 8-10 servings • From the kitchen of Emily
Ingredients
24 graham crackers
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
1 pound (2 large packages) Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 pint sour cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crust:
Use the graham crackers, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the butter.
Mash fine, mix and line pie pan. DO THIS FIRST.
Filling:
Use the cream cheese,1/2 cup of the sugar, the eggs and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla.
Beat until nice and smooth.
Pour into unbaked crust.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Cool 15 minutes.
While waiting, prepare topping, and increase oven temperature to 450 degrees.
Topping:
Use the sour cream, 1/4 cup of the sugar and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla.
Spread on top of the cheesecake and bake for 5 minutes.
Cool for one hour.
Chill for 12 hours.
