Recipe Details

Bake Time:
8-10 minutes

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups flour (might need more to make the dough stiff)

Directions

  1. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, mix well, then add sour cream and mix well.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients.

  4. Make into a ball and refrigerate for 1 hour.

  5. Roll out cookies and cut out with cookie cutters.

  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

  7. Frost and decorate when they are cool.
