Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 can (5 1/3 ounce) evaporated milk (2/3 cup)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 package (12 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate pieces (2 cups)
1 jar (7 ounce) marshmallow crème
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. In a 2 quart bowl, combine sugar and milk. Add butter or margarine.

  2. Cook in microwave, uncovered, on high for 5 minutes until mixture comes to a full rolling boil, stirring twice. Reduce setting to medium and cook 6 minutes, stirring twice.

  3. Stir in chips until melted. Add marshmallow crème, vanilla, and nuts and stir until well combined.

  4. Pour into a buttered 9x9 inch baking pan.

  5. Cool.

  6. Cut into squares.
