Ingredients

4 egg whites, room temperature
dash of salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup Hershey's cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

  3. Beat egg whites in a medium mixing bowl until foamy; add salt.

  4. Gradually add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating until stiff peaks form.

  5. Fold in cocoa 2 teaspoons at a time.

  6. Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.

  7. Bake for 15 minutes.

  8. Remove from paper and cool on wire racks.

Something is wrong with this recipe. Should it perhaps read 14 egg whites? Once I added 1 cup of cocoa to the 4 beaten egg whites, I ended up with a thick mess.
