Recipe Details

Bake Time:
7-10 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
pinch of salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Coat coke sheets with non-stick cooking spray.

  3. Mix sugars and shortening; add egg and vanilla, mix well. Add dry ingredients.

  4. Roll into small balls and dip in red and/or green colored sugar.

  5. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of a glass.

  6. Bake for 7-10 minutes.

They've been out of the oven for 10 minutes and my 20 year old son just had like 1/2 dozen already.
