Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Cookies - Recipe for Chewies

From the kitchen of Dolly Long & Lisa Jones

Ingredients

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 to 3/4 cup maraschino cherries, cut into thirds, reserve some of the juice
1/2 cup coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Butter a 9x9 cake pan.

  3. Mix all ingredients by hand, adding reserved cherry juice as needed.

  4. Put the mixture into the pan.

  5. Bake for 35-45 minutes.


Let cool before you cut and eat.
