Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking power
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease cookie sheets or spray with non-stick cooking spray.

  3. Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs & vanilla.

  4. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add buttermilk and stir well.

  5. Drop by tablespoon onto prepared cookie sheets.

  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
