Easy English Trifle
Makes 16 servings • From the kitchen of Anice McElroy
Ingredients
1 small yellow cake mix or angel food cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
1 large package vanilla instant pudding, plus milk to prepare
1 large carton whipped topping or 2 cups whipped cream
2 packages (10 ounce each) frozen berries
Directions
Make vanilla pudding following directions on the box.
Mix and bake cake as directed on box.
Cool cake and cut into bite size pieces.
Whip cream or defrost frozen whipped topping.
Defrost fruit.
To assemble dessert, use a trifle bowl and layer items in the following order: 1/2 cake, 1/2 berries, 1/2 pudding, 1/2 cream.
Repeat layers.
Refrigerate.
