Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Desserts - Recipe for Pretzel Salad

Pretzel Salad

From the kitchen of Santina Mullins Hale

Ingredients

3 cups crushed pretzels
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 large tub Cool Whip
8 ounces cream cheese
1 large box of any flavor Jell-O

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Prepare Jell-O as directed, set aside.

  3. Mix crushed pretzels and margarine in large baking dish, press down to form crust.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool.

  5. Pour Jell-O over pretzel crust, refrigerate for 20 minutes.

  6. Mix Cool Whip and cream cheese together until well blended.

  7. Pour over Jell-O.

  8. Garnish with pretzel crumbs, if desired.
