Recipe Details

Ingredients

1/2 pound real butter (not oleo or margarine)
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon real vanilla

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Cream butter and egg yolk. Add powdered sugar, flour and vanilla and mix well by hand.

  3. Make into little balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet, and press down with a fork dipped into powdered sugar.

  4. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.


May use Hershey's Kisses, whole walnuts or colored sprinkles on top of each cookie before you place them in the oven. May dip in powdered sugar after they cool.

Very very soft and crumbly. Kind of reminded me of soft pie dough. Maybe could have baked longer.
