Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Desserts - Recipe for Hot Fudge Pudding

Hot Fudge Pudding

Ingredients

1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons melted shortening
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sauce:
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 3/4 cups hot water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease an 8 inch square pan.

  3. Add all dry ingredients; mix lightly.

  4. Combine shortening, milk and vanilla; add to flour mixture, blend well.

  5. Spread in prepared pan.

  6. Combine sugar, cocoa and hot water; pour over batter in pan.

  7. Bake for 45 minutes.

  8. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
