Apple Cinnamon Raisin Compote

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

4 tart apples
1 tablespoon powdered cinnamon or one cinnamon stick
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup raisins

Directions

  1. Wash, core and dice apples.

  2. Put into medium size pot; apples, cinnamon, sugar and raisins.

  3. Cook until apples are soft.

  4. Stir occasionally. Add more spices if desired. Serve hot.
