Recipe Details

10-12 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup shortening
3/4 cup of sugar
2 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
food coloring

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Cream shortening and sugar together.

  3. Mix in the egg and almond extract.

  4. Blend in the dry ingredients and tint with red or green food coloring.

  5. Put dough into a cookie press. Press cookie dough onto ungreased pans.

  6. Decorate with cinnamon balls or multicolored sprinkles.

  7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

  8. Place immediately on a cooling rack.

Not sure but dough is not smooth at all! Mixed into a powder. Missing an ingredient or something. Not good at all don't even waste your time!
