Recipe Details

35-40 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup coconut
1 German chocolate cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
1 pound confectioner's sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease 9x13 oblong pan with shortening.

  3. Mix and spread pecans and coconut evenly on bottom of pan.

  4. Mix cake according to package. Pour over pecans and coconut.

  5. Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese together. Spread over cake mix.

  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes.


Note: When you mix cream cheese and powdered sugar, place cream cheese in microwave and warm to soften. Then add sugar, mix, and drizzle over cake mix.
