Recipe Details

Bake Time:
10-15 minutes

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour

Frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
a little milk
a little vanilla
2 tablespoons of butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Cream 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy (use electric beater).

  3. Gradually beat in flour.

  4. Shape into walnut size balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet.

  5. Flatten out with a flat bottomed glass dipped in flour.

  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, (watch as they can brown easily).


Frosting:

  1. Mix the butter, powdered sugar, enough milk for consistency and vanilla to taste.

  2. Frost the cooled cookie. Then place a pecan half on top.

Love this recipe! so easy and yummy! i add xmas colored sprinkles to icing to give them a little color! i make them every year for home and gifts! they are always a hit!
