Ingredients

6 ounces/175g digestive biscuits
2 ounces/50g walnuts
2 ounces/50g seedless raisins
6 ounces/175g plain chocolate
2 ounces/50g butter

Directions

  1. Butter a cake tin, set aside.

  2. Crush the biscuits roughly.

  3. Roughly chop the walnuts and mix them into the biscuit pieces with the raisins.

  4. Break the chocolate into a very large basin, standing over a pan of gently simmering water.

  5. When the chocolate has melted, stir in the butter then stir in the biscuit mixture until well mixed.

  6. Turn the chocolate mixture into a buttered cake tin and smooth the top.

  7. Leave to harden then turn out and cut into wedges to serve.
