1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup vanilla yogurt

1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease and flour 1 large (or 3 small loaf pans).

  3. Cream together margarine, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs and beat well.

  4. Combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda before sifting into the creamed mixture.

  5. Stir until moistened. Add the vanilla yogurt and mix well.


  1. Combine chopped walnuts, sugar and cinnamon.

  2. Pour about 1/2 the batter in prepared pan(s). Sprinkle with 12 of the topping, repeat layers.

  3. Bake for about 30 minutes (depending on pan size), until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
