Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 egg
1 cup dates, sliced fine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
2 cups flour
2 cups applesauce
1 cup nuts coarsely chopped
1 cup chopped raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking soda
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x13 pan.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add well beaten egg, vanilla and the rest of the ingredients, mix well.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour.
