1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 cup dates, sliced fine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
2 cups flour
2 cups applesauce
1 cup nuts coarsely chopped
1 cup chopped raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons soda
Cream butter and sugar. Add well beaten egg, vanilla and the rest of the ingredients. Mix. Turn into well buttered pan. Bake slowly in moderate oven, 350 degrees 1 hour.
