Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Desserts - Recipe for Apple Pudding

Apple Pudding

Ingredients

1/4 pound bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/4 pound moist sugar
pinch salt
1/4 pound apples
1/4 pound suet, finely chopped
1/4 pint milk
pinch nutmeg

Directions

  1. Pare, core and chop the apples coarsely.

  2. Mix all dry ingredients together; add the eggs, previously beaten, milk and all well.

  3. Let the mixture stand 1 hour for the bread to soak.

  4. Pour into a greased basin and steam 2 hours.
