2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups walnut halves


  1. Put sugars into saucepan and mix; add sour cream.

  2. Stir while cooking to the soft ball stage. Add vanilla and stir until fairly thick.

  3. Add the walnuts and stir until evenly coated.

  4. Turn out on a cookie sheet covered with waxed paper.

  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while hot.

  6. Let nuts cool and break apart.
