Ingredients

4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup (for cake-like brownies) self-rising flour or 3/4 cup (for fudgy brownies) self-rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease and flour 11x7 inch cake pan.

  3. Melt cocoa and margarine together in microwave-stir until smooth.

  4. In separate bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, and vanilla, add chocolate mixture and combine.

  5. Slowly add flour and mix well.

  6. Stir in nuts

  7. Pour into prepared pan.

  8. Bake 25-30 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
