Ingredients

4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup (for cake-like brownies) or 3/4 cup (for fudgy brownies) self-rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease 12x7 cake pan.

  3. Melt cocoa powder and margarine in microwave. Stir until smooth.

  4. In separate bowl, mix sugar and eggs. Add vanilla.

  5. Gradually add flour to sugar and egg mixture.

  6. Stir in cocoa mixture until blended.

  7. Pour into prepared pan.

  8. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
