Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Cookies - Recipe for Chocolate Snowdrop

Chocolate Snowdrop

Makes 2 dozen • From the kitchen of Nidheya Suresh

Ingredients

125 grams butter, softened
3 tablespoons icing sugar, sifted
2/3 cup plain flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1 cup almonds, finely chopped
1 tin extra sifted icing sugar to coat cookie

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 150 degree Celsius.

  2. Cream butter & icing sugar until light & fluffy.

  3. Add sifted flour & cocoa & mix well. Fold in almonds.

  4. Chill until firm enough to handle.

  5. Roll a teaspoon full of dough at time into marble sized balls, arrange on tray.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until firm.

  7. Roll in icing sugar while still warm.
