Fun to make with kids, Kid friendly

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup powdered sugar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cups M&M's milk chocolate mini baking bits, divided
8 small pretzel twists, broken in half
2 (1 ounce) squares milk chocolate

Directions

  1. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in vanilla.

  3. Combine flour and cocoa; add to creamed mixture.

  4. Stir in 1 cup M&M's Milk chocolate Mini Baking Bits.

  5. Wrap and chill dough 1 hour.

  6. Divide dough into 8 sections. Shape each section into 4 balls: 1 large, 1 small, and two very small for each reindeer. Place large ball on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten. Place small ball at bottom of large ball for reindeer snout; flatten. Place 2 very small balls at top of large ball, pinching to shape for ears.

  7. Press two pretzel halves in between for antlers.

  8. Bake 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

  9. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute; cool completely on wire racks.

  10. Place chocolate in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute; stir.

  11. Spread chocolate over cookies.

  12. Decorate with remaining 1/4 cup "M&M's" Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits to make reindeer faces.
