Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Fudge & Candy - Recipe for Never Fail Fudge

Never Fail Fudge

Makes 1/2 pound • From the kitchen of Lauren

Ingredients

1 egg, well beaten
3 tablespoons cream or evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pound confectioner's sugar
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Directions

  1. Butter 8 inch square cake pan, set aside.

  2. Mix together egg, cream, vanilla, salt and confectioner's sugar.

  3. Then melt unsweetened chocolate and butter together. Add both mixtures together.

  4. Spread into prepared cake pan.

  5. Allow to set 2 hours.

  6. Cut into squares.


One extra touch would be to add 1 cup of cut marshmallows
