Mrs. Claus' Christmas & Holiday Pies - Recipe for Chocolate Chess Pie

Chocolate Chess Pie

Makes 6 to 8 servings

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 eggs
1 can (8 ounce) chocolate flavored syrup
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine sugar, cornstarch, eggs, chocolate flavored syrup, milk and butter in a bowl.

  3. Beat until smooth, using an electric mixer at medium speed.

  4. Pour into pie shell.

  5. Bake for 55 minutes or until center sets.

  6. Cool on rack.
