Gluten‑free, Kid friendly, Travels well


1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
6 cups sugar
2 cans evaporated milk (5 ounce cans)
2 packages (12 ounces each) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 jar (13 ounce) marshmallow cream
2 teaspoons vanilla


  1. Lightly grease 2 or 3 pans.

  2. Mix margarine, sugar, and milk in heavy 4-5 quart sauce pan.

  3. Bring to full rolling boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.

  4. Continue boiling 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring to prevent scorching.

  5. Remove from heat.

  6. Gradually stir in chips until melted.

  7. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  8. Pour into prepared pans.

  9. Cool at room temperature and cut into squares.

I have been making this recipe for the last 4 years every Christmas, everyone loves it, it's not grainy when you eat it, it is really easy to make and it is delicious!!!!! Everyone in my family asks every year now if I am making fudge and if I am, can I make extra!!!!
