Gum Drop Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups gum drops, cut up
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups oatmeal
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream shortening, margarine, and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Add flour, baking powder, salt and soda; mix well.
Stir in oatmeal and gun drops.
Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes.
