Ingredients

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup oil
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups water

Fluffy Frosting
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 tsp. cream of Tarter
dash of salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. In an ungreased 9"x13" baking pan mix: flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt.

  2. Make 3 holes in above mixture and add to each hole separately the oil, vinegar, and vanilla.

  3. Pour the water over the top of above and blend well with fork.

  4. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.

Fluffy Frosting
  1. Bring to a boil the sugar, water, cream of Tarter, and salt.

  2. Beat the egg whites a few seconds with electric mixer then very slowly add the boiled mixture and beat 5 minutes then add vanilla and beat another 2 minutes. May add food coloring if desired. May also sprinkle with coconut if you like.
