Russian Tea Cookies
Makes 4 dozen • From the kitchen of Ruth R.
Ingredients
1 cup oleo, softened
1/2 cup 10x sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups finely chopped pecans
additional confectioner's sugar for dusting
Directions
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix together well: oleo, sugar and vanilla.
Sift together: flour, salt and pecans and stir into butter mixture.
Chill at least 1 hour and form 1 inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set but not brown.
Roll in 10x sugar and when cool roll again in 10x sugar.
Store in airtight container.
